But I love the church.<br />JeanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5051629921855027241.post-11664078215025604062011-07-25T13:11:21.567+01:002011-07-25T13:11:21.567+01:00Thanks Sandra. Thanks Sandra.John (JWJarts)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17802012611212667028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5051629921855027241.post-61653237941190928462011-07-25T12:53:54.459+01:002011-07-25T12:53:54.459+01:00I think this is SO charming - I really like it :0)...I think this is SO charming - I really like it :0)Sandra Busbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05622208510609673242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5051629921855027241.post-32015284272980809832011-07-23T18:08:45.092+01:002011-07-23T18:08:45.092+01:00Thank you Frank, I'm glad you like it.

The grass hill in the foreground is hiding the base of the church, which in turn makes the trees on the left appear stuck onto the side of the tower. With hindsight, your earlier thoughts of leaving them out may have been a better option, or at least painted much paler to suggest distance, but in any case, a lovely painting._Frankb10https://www.blogger.com/profile/18151551321981740679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5051629921855027241.post-89477377166398632052011-07-23T14:38:39.016+01:002011-07-23T14:38:39.016+01:00Thank you Michael. I have to say I was very tempted to leave it as a pen drawing and do a separate watercolour, but I'm glad I stuck to my guns.John (JWJarts)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17802012611212667028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5051629921855027241.post-37432597902613999672011-07-23T12:49:02.582+01:002011-07-23T12:49:02.582+01:00Hi John. The two media really work together very nicely for this type of subject :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14423986562925121890noreply@blogger.com
